A small, new service with one idea: every home repair should start with a video, not a phone tag.
ShowTheProject is run by go4, a small venture studio based in Clifton, New Jersey, serving New York City, with AI assistance (Claude, by Anthropic) for writing, summaries and the code behind this site. A person reviews every post before it reaches a contractor.
We built it because the two sides of a repair job are stuck in the same bad loop: homeowners call around and wait for visits, contractors drive to jobs they cannot take. A ninety-second video fixes most of that. We cap matches at 3 pros so nobody is sold as a lead, and we charge contractors a flat fee so our only incentive is work that actually gets quoted.

- Founding contractors are being signed now. The first posts open on a date we announce to them by email.
- No payments through the site yet. No ads. No selling data.
Honest limits
A video cannot show what is behind a wall. Quotes are for what a pro can see, and our terms require them to tell you before any extra work. We check licenses against the public register but we are not a guarantee of workmanship; hire as carefully as you would anyone you found yourself.
